Vendemmia || Casa Tallone.
Harvest || Casa Tallone
The Nebbiolo harvest has its own rhythm, its own breath. And, as often happens in this corner of land, it also has its own atmosphere: a grey morning wrapped in fog, the kind typical of October, when the rows seem to dissolve into white and the air smells of damp earth and ripe grapes.
But it doesn’t take much to warm everything up. Just Matteo and Davide, with their contagious energy, jokes bouncing between the vines, laughter blending with the sound of pruning shears. Because harvesting Nebbiolo isn’t just a gesture repeated every year: it’s a ritual made of dirty hands, bent backs, and moments of joy that turn even the greyest day into a special memory.
Crates fill up one after another, the juice of the first cut grapes stains fingers, and in the muffled silence of the fog you can hear only the sound of grapes sliding into the containers. When the last crate is loaded onto the van, with a few well-aimed pushes to make everything fit, that quiet sense of satisfaction arrives: the work is done, the wine is about to be born.
This is Casa Tallone’s Nebbiolo.
Born in the fog, grown with care, harvested with heart.
