Produttori di vino || Durio: il racconto di una cantina attraverso le stagioni.
Alessandro e Alberto Durio mi hanno contattata per raccontare la loro realtà attraverso le stagioni, seguendo il ritmo della vigna e del vino. Ci siamo incontrati a metà febbraio, in una giornata in cui il cielo era completamente coperto e una leggera foschia avvolgeva le colline. Dalla loro bellissima terrazza, il panorama si intuiva più che vedersi, lasciando spazio all’immaginazione.
Siamo scesi tra i filari, dove stavano ultimando la potatura prima dell’arrivo della primavera. È un lavoro che sembra ripetitivo, ma che in realtà è fatto di attenzione e scelte precise: ogni taglio influenza il futuro della pianta e della vendemmia.
A seguire, ci siamo spostati in cantina per gli assaggi direttamente dalle vasche, per capire come stanno evolvendo i vini della scorsa annata. Degustare in cantina è un’esperienza diversa: è ascoltare il vino nel suo percorso, coglierne i cambiamenti, immaginare cosa diventerà con il tempo.
Questo è solo l’inizio.
Non vedo l’ora di tornare a fotografare la primavera, quando la natura si risveglia e tutto riparte con nuova energia e nuovi colori.
Wine Producers || Durio: telling the story of a winery through the seasons
Alessandro and Alberto Durio contacted me to tell their story through the seasons, following the rhythm of the vineyard and the wine. We met in mid-February, on a day when the sky was completely overcast and a light haze wrapped around the hills. From their beautiful terrace, the landscape could be sensed more than seen, leaving room for imagination.
We walked down among the rows of vines, where they were finishing the pruning before the arrival of spring. It’s a task that may seem repetitive, but in reality it’s made of care and precise choices: every cut influences the future of the plant and the harvest.
After that, we moved into the cellar for tastings directly from the tanks, to understand how the wines from the previous vintage are evolving. Tasting in the cellar is a different experience: it means listening to the wine along its journey, noticing its changes, and imagining what it will become over time.
This is just the beginning.
I can’t wait to return to photograph spring, when nature awakens and everything starts again with new energy and new colors.
